As many of you know, Food 4 Farmers (F4F) has been our charity of choice for a few years now. For those who are unfamiliar with the organization, F4F works with coffee farmers and their families to break free of economic and nutritional hardships.

There are currently several on-going projects in the works in Mexico, Nicaragua, Colombia, and Guatemala. The farmers and their families learn about nutritional diversification, so they can better attend to their health. There are programs to teach elementary school children how to grow vegetable and fruit gardens themselves. Additionally, F4F helps coffee-growing communities by teaching sustainable farming techniques and environmental awareness. Leaning into those techniques, the farmers also learn about income diversification, so they can better support their families throughout the year, not just during coffee season. Gaining quite a bit of momentum in this arena is the fine art of beekeeping, packing a punch by not only providing more money for the farmers’ households, but also helping to encourage environmental stability. Every year after the holidays, we collect all the donations saved from the previous year, match it dollar for dollar, and write a check to Food 4 Farmers. This year, thanks to your generous donations, we were able to give them a check for $2010.48! Last year, we set a goal to double our contribution, and WE DID IT! We'd love to keep that karma going, but we need your help to do that. If you visit our store front, toss a dollar or two in the collection box. If you’re ordering from the website, check that “Yes” box! Even if you just want to write a check, we’ll match it. These farmers work tirelessly to provide you with your daily cup of Joe, help us repay them through Food 4 Farmers.

If you're a Texas resident living in any of the major cities, you're probably a fan of HEB's sister company, Central Market. As you may know, Central Market frequently has very popular annual "Fests" promoting seasonal products. During these fests, each department lovingly prepares or promotes the star of the fest. January will be the celebration of COFFEE! To give you a little bit of an idea of what to expect, you may find espresso crusted steak in the meat department or delicious coffee flavored cakes in the bakery.

Between January 23-31, we will be participating in this celebration by showcasing our Limited Edition Series coffees at Central Market. You'll see our very popular Yemen Mocca and Spirit Mountain Dominican Republic, just to name a few. If you'd like to read more about our historic Yemen Mocca, click here. If you'd like to read more about Spirit Mountain and the amazing things they're doing for the people of Dominican Republic, click here. During the last weekend of the month, ACR representatives will be visiting Central Market locations to talk with folks about our coffees and prepare samples for passers-by. Stop by your local Central Market to learn more about the stories behind our Limited Edition series coffees, and maybe bring some home with you!
