As the New Year gains momentum, we’re starting a new series we'd like to call "Where to Go to Find Our Joe." Our goal is to help you find more avenues to enjoy our coffee by introducing you to some of our best wholesale partners. This month, we’d like to tell you about Mad Batter Bakers.
A few years ago, we were saddened to hear one of our clients was selling her bakery in Addison Circle. She said she was passing the torch to a lovely couple who intended to continue the bakery under a new name: Mad Batter Bakers. Nicole and Zachary Margulies came by Addison Coffee Roasters, introduced themselves, picked out a few coffees to experiment with, and we didn’t hear from them again for a few weeks or so. We worried for a bit, but they soon placed their first order, and our partnership has continued to strengthen ever since. It’s been about three years now, and the little bakery that could is thriving and growing!
These Mad Batter Bakers pride themselves on providing “edible art.” Truly a “one-of-a-kind bakery …(that creates)… a fairytale experience.” They provide over 21 cupcake flavors, cookies of all shapes and sizes, wedding and birthday cakes, breakfast sandwiches, quiches, muffins, cheesecakes, pastries, and even vegan, low-gluten, and sugar-free options as well! Nicole and her crew are happy to serve you a hot cup of joe. If you're hankering for something a little more involved, they also have a full espresso bar. So order a latte, and as you nestle into a comfy chair, enjoy your heavenly confection, and take in the local art showcased on the walls. If you just so happen to bring your four-legged best buddy, they have something for him/her too!
Just running a bakery would be enough for some, but the Margulies’ somehow find time to host wine and cupcake pairing parties and book reading events where you can enjoy excerpt readings by the author themselves.
Corporate gifts, birthday cakes, confections for an event, quick breakfast, study time with a cup of coffee, or just sitting with a friend and chatting over lattes, these folks have what you need. They’ve got a lot going on over in Addison Circle. Please stop by and tell them we sent you!
You'll find their hours of operation and other contact info here.
