Spirit Mountain, Honey Process
We have been partners with the folks at Spirit Mountain for years now. Chad Wallace, owner of Spirit Mountain, and his family are Texas natives who've really found their calling in the Dominican Republic. They purchased the hurricane-ravaged coffee farm in 2003, and have successfully created an "agro-forestry project with a vibrant focus on educational tourism, all revolving around coffee and set up to benefit educational reform." With proceeds invested in in the Doulos Discovery School and the Manabao public school, Chad and his crew have not only transformed the ecosystem of their 350 acre coffee plantation, but they are set to transform the community around them.
