Choco-latte Anyone?

Choco-latte Anyone?

Posted by MHawn on 3rd Feb 2022

What a better time than February to celebrate the power-pairing of chocolate and coffee? Since we've got a bit of winter yet to plow through, we're featuring our most popular chocolate coffees to help keep you warm and cozy. And if you're not into flavored coffees, no problem. We've got some all-star traditional coffees with strong chocolate profiles that are stunningly delicious. Let's get to it!

Chocolate Raspberry, a classic pairing of sweet raspberry to excite the palate, followed by a luscious chocolate ganache finish. Oh so delicioso!

Mexican Chocolate, hands down, our most popular flavored coffee to date. Inspired by authentic Mexican hot chocolate, it has hints of cinnamon, adding an intriguing dimension to its chocolatey goodness. This one's a slam dunk.

Chocolate Hazelnut just so happens to taste quite a bit like a certain chocolate/hazelnut spread that has people eating it right out of the jar like heathens. Now, you can get your fix from a civilized coffee mug. *We don't recommend eating the coffee grounds straight out of the bag, no matter how much you may feel compelled to do so.

Chocolate Macadamia Nut, adding a tropical flair to cold winter morning commutes will have you daydreaming about sandy beaches and warm summer breezes. Whoever was first inspired to pair chocolate and macadamia nuts deserves a great big kiss on the cheek!

Dark Chocolate Truffle, the chocolatiest coffee in the lineup isn't for folks who enjoy chocolate occasionally. Just as the name suggests, this coffee is reminiscent of a luxurious chocolate truffle, generously dusted with rich cocoa powder. Only die-hard chocolate lovers can handle this one.

Each of these flavored coffees is available in decaf as well. But if you're not interested in flavored coffees, we've got you covered with a couple of traditional coffees. To be clear, the offerings below have had no flavors added to them. They innately have chocolate notes.

Fair Trade Organic Bolivia is a beautifully sweet coffee featuring luxurious dark chocolate undertones. An introductory sip may lead you to believe that it's a dark roast, but note the lack of smoke in the finish. This medium roast coffee is full-bodied with a softness that lingers on the palate. A long-standing house favorite, our Bolivia shines in literally any brew method.

Brazil Espresso This coffee has a depth of flavor that resonates a little deeper than Bolivia. We roast this one a bit darker than the Bolivia, hence the "espresso" reference in the name. For us, this is a couple of clicks past our standard Full-City medium roast. Espresso roast brings depth without overpowering the natural chocolate notes with smokiness. Don't let the name fool you. This coffee is amazing as a french press, cold brew, Chemex, espresso, drip coffee. Heck, brew it through a sock and it'll still be one of the best cups of coffee you've tasted!
